Rouge Gliding in Sonic Dream Team: Long Glides, Hidden Ledges

Rouge glides further than anyone in Sonic Dream Team. Here is how to turn glides into secrets.

How gliding works

Rouge glides in Sonic Dream Team APK by spreading her wings, and her glides cover longer distances than any other hero's movement. Glide from height, not from the ground: the higher the launch, the further the glide, and the more ledges it reaches.

Gliding is a planning skill. Look before you leap, pick a landing ledge, and glide to it deliberately. Random glides end in pits; planned glides end in secrets.

Ledges only Rouge reaches

Far ledges, island platforms and high balconies are Rouge's territory. If a ledge looks too far for a jump and too high for a climb, it is probably a Rouge ledge, and the game placed it there for exactly her.

Dream Moons love Rouge ledges. A collector run with Rouge, after a learning run with Sonic, is the most efficient way to clear a world's collectibles in two passes.

Glide technique

Start glides from the highest point you can reach, steer gently, and land on flat ground, not on rails. Small steering corrections beat big ones, and a calm glide covers more distance than a panicked one. Related reading: Wall Running and Gravity Shifts in Sonic Dream Team.

In wind sections, glide with the wind, never against it. The game uses wind as a hint, not as an obstacle, and following it leads to routes the designers want you to find.

Rouge or Knuckles

Rouge glides further, Knuckles climbs higher. For far ledges pick Rouge, for high walls pick Knuckles, and for a level with both, run it twice. The roster exists so no single hero has to do everything. Related reading: Sonic Dream Team for Families: Play Together Without Stress.
